Sports Trainer Course & ERC

17 Feb 2022 by Danielle Morrison

Dear Parents/Carers,

WHJFNC NEEDS YOU

WHY – For our club to comply with AFL regulations and mandates, it is a MINIMUM REQUIREMENT to have either an accredited Emergency Response Coordinator (ERC) or Level 1 Sports Trainer at every training session and game.

WHO – as many parents/carers as possible (don’t leave it up to the usual who always put their hands up!) The more volunteers, the less burden and in this case will ensure the safety of our children as much as possible.

Coaches/Team managers, get on board. We need you, especially to be AFL compliant at every training session.

ABOUT – Both roles listed above teach AFL specific first aid management, including but not limited to; blood rule, concussion, on-field assessment of injured players and transporting injured players.

If you are looking for a little more including taping, sports nutrition, drugs in sport then the Level 1 Sports Trainers accreditation will provide that above and beyond the ERC accreditation.

PREREQUISITES – both require a current
