It goes to show that there are a number of ways in which people can stay involved in the sport. Well done boys!

Best Club Person Award
Christine Mathieson –
Thankyou Christine for your tireless years volunteering at the Woodend Junior Football Netball club. The generosity of your time in a number of roles, including being our head trainer & coordinator, has enabled countless numbers of children to play and enjoy the sport that they love so much. We wish you and Charlie all the very best at the senior club next year.

Special thanks to the Mahon’s for putting on the bbq & Briony for arranging the Specky events – they were a massive hit!

Thanks also to the WHFNC (senior club) for hosting our presentation day and for your support throughout the year. The kids have loved playing at the GGO, being welcomed into the clubrooms for Thursday night meals and being presented with Senior hoodies for best on in the finals – they wear the colours with pride. We look forward to working with you closely again next year.

Thankyou to Steve Mahon (Secretary), Rohan Wood (President), Andrew Dean (Treasurer) and Tim Carrell (general committee member & coach) who are leaving our committee. Your time and dedication to running the club, whether it was for 1 year or a number of years, has been very much appreciated. We are sorry to see you go and wish you all the best in your future ventures.

It has been a fantastic year of football and netball. Thankyou to all of the parents, families and supporters that have made this year so much fun, both on and off the footy field and netball court, especially our outstanding coaches for giving up your time week in and week out throughout the year, your dedication and commitment to these teams is amazing. Also to our sensational team managers – the coaches can’t live without you! and our scorers, time keepers, trainers, runners, water boys & girls and goal & boundary umpires – the games could not have run without you.

AGM & 2017 COACHES
Please don’t forget to come along to our AGM tomorrow night at the Gilbert Gordon clubrooms @ 7.30pm. We have a number of people moving on as their children move up to the senior club – we need people to step up and join the committee so that we can continue to operate – the club is run solely by volunteers so please get involved. We would love to see you there.
The new committee will also be calling for expressions of interest for next years football and netball coaches very soon as we look forward to a great 2017 season ahead.

GO HAWKS!!
