Thank you to everyone that contributed food and help at Jason’s wake yesterday.
It was a fantastic joint effort between the Woodend Junior Football Netball Club, Woodend Cricket Club, Woodend-Hesket Football Netball Club and Woodend-Hesket Masters Football Club and the greater community.
There was plenty of delicious food thanks to everyone’s contributions and the family really appreciated it.
A massive thanks to Kath Bourke who managed it all and poured many hours into preparing such a lovely gathering for Jason’s family and friends.
Thanks also to Penny Allan who helped Kath all day – amazing, and Paul Podbury, Lachlan EJ Whitton and Daryl Bourke for running the bar!
There were also quite a few kids that came down at various times throughout the morning to help get the clubrooms ready – thank you, you should be very proud of yourselves!
Jason had such a positive impact on so many people throughout his time at the club and it was great to see just how many of our past and present players, club and community members attended the funeral and wake to honour Jas.
Our thoughts are with you Dempsey and Ronin, the Wenn family, extended family and friends.
